TWM’s Packaging Technical Theme takes an in-brief look at DM Pack – Preferred Packaging’s most recent innovations to launch into the market place. A TWM report.

Preferred Packaging’s owner Luca De Marchi says the company’s packaging line – the Star Evo Packaging machine – is created and designed using the latest innovations. “The line is completely cantilever level, accessible, perfect for cleaning and maintenance,” he says.

Its launch targets tissue companies that produce and convert paper and need packaging line turnkey options to produce industrial roll packaging for both shrink-wrapping of single rolls and multipacks. The company also manufactures fully automatic case packers for industrial rolls and towels that are built with the same innovative design.

Its side and top load case packer machine Geos and its shrink wrapping machine Star Evo – the core of the company’s complete packaging lines – both take full advantage of the company’s latest research and innovations.

According to De Marchi they include:

1.      A compact and ergonomic design: completely canter level, accessible, perfect for cleaning and maintenance, all machine parts are fully accessible by innovative sliding or opening guards. The film reel is located on a low position for easy film exchange and it is also available with COMBO tunnel. There is an electrical cabinet on top and on view for immediate diagnostic;

2.      A-class, ISO certificated components;

3.      Partly automatic change over by motor drives to another format. Manual change overs and all movements are done by Hiwin linear guides and scales for higher precision and longer life;

4.      Double operator position, thanks to moveable-rotating control panel and double openable doors as an option;

5.      Controlled by SIEMENS and operator panel, which allows intuitive machine operation easy and fast change format.

6.      Motor driven sealing bar instead of pneumatic sealing bar as an option to have machine all electronic no need of air.

7.      High film saving and energy saving thanks to three belts side sealing system with reduced distance between product and film. Tighter bag, less film consumption and less power required for shrinking.

8.       Products runs always in the centre, not on the side, thanks to the innovative system of movable in feed and central belt for an easier change of format and better shrinking.

9.       Flexibility: endless products length (no limit thanks to continuous side sealing system), products height up standard: 300mm, max product’s width on STAR 500 MODEL: 420mm (wider machine’s version for bigger products)

10.       SPEED: shrink wrapping machine up to 120rolls/min.

Máquina de soldadura lateral en continuo. Puede trabajar con todo tipo de film (con sistema de soldadura opcional. La máquina de 3 bandas permite un ahorro visible en el ancho de film a usar debido a la reducida distancia entre la rueda de soldadura lateral y el producto. Reducción de 10 cm de film para la producción. En el momento de no recibir producto en la máquina se detiene automáticamente. A todas las máquinas de Preferred Packaging se les puede añadir: banda de entrada, empujador de uñas, empujador, cargador (en línea y rotativo); túnel termoretráctil, banda de salida o apilador de producto.

La máquina trabajo com una mordaza de manera intermitente que suelda al paso del producto en el hueco que la máquina deja entre productos. La soldadura lateral en continuo permite trabajar con productos de longitud infinita. Ancho de producto hasta 1000 mm, altura de producto hasta 400 mm. Velocidad con formato A4 3000/4500 p/h. Envasado completamente cerrado con 3 soldaduras laterales; con asa; con troquel Europeo, abrefácil. Com atmosfera modificada: posibilidad de envasado en atmosfera modificada con film polipropileno o compejo.

DEA com soldadura lateral en continuo y mordaza acompañada que permite seguir alñ producto evitando la parada de producción al soldar, aumentando la velocidad y estabilidad de la producción ( no hay arranques y paradas). Puede trabajar com todo tipo de film. La máquina de 3 bandas permite un ahorro de film. Gracias a la reducida distancia entre la zona de soldadura lateral y el paso del producto. Ahorro de 10 cm de film por producto a retráctilar. A falta de producto el ciclo se para automáticamente. Todas las máquinas de Preferred Packaging pueden incorporar: banda entradaentrada de uñas, empujador, cargador (lineal y rotativo); túnel termoretráctil, banda de salida o apilador de la producción.

La máquina contiene soldadura lateral en continuo y mordaza acompañada que va acompañando al producto. No se generan paradas ni arrancadas porque la mordaza va en continuo, para conseguir alta velocidad y estabilidad. La soldadura lateral en continuo permite trabajar com produtos de longitude infinita. Ancho de producto hasta 1020 mm, Altura de producto hasta 400 mm. Velocidad formato A4 6000 p/h com DEA estandar y hasta 9000 p/h con sistema SERVO motor brushless. Posibilidad de envasado: Completamente cerrado con 3 soldaduras laterales; termoretráctil, con asa, con troquel europeo, con abrefácil. En atmosfera modificada: Posibilidad de envasado en atmosfera modificada com film polipropileno o complejo.

CARACTERÍSTICAS GENERALES
La retráctil angular sólo se caracteriza por la mordaza en forma de “L”, una barra única que desciende verticalmente con la misma presión de soldadura en todos los puntos de film (NO ES SISTEMA TIJERA). A todas las máquinas Preferred Packaging se les puede añadir: banda de entrada, alimentador de uñas, empujador, cargadores (lineal y rotativo); túnel termoretráctil, banda de salida o implantación en línea de producción. CARACTERÍSTICAS ESPECIALES
Mordaza única vertical, se garabtiza la misma presión en todos los puntos de la soldadura del film, sustituye a la antigua mordaza de tijera. La mordaza tiene 10 mm di espesor generando un ahorro de film (la cantidad de film soldada hasta el producto es mínima, esto garantiza un pack bien cerrado y un menor tiempo de soldadura). La máquina trabaja con poliolefina con opcional de mordaza para polietileno. Ahorro de espacio (versión “”COMPACTA”) con túnel incorporado. Disponible también en versión económica.
